Green Grid. A global consortium of companies, government agencies
and educational institutions, The Green Grid is dedicated to advancing
energy efficiency in data centres and business computing ecosystems.
Ideas International is joining The Green Grid as a General Member to
collaborate with others in the data centre industry to help
organizations improve data centre efficiency and increase energy cost
savings.
IDEAS provides its global clients with powerful online tools, such as

CAR and Carbon Calculator. IDEAS tools can be used for comparative
benchmarking across the world of datacentre systems infrastructure, to
assess the ‘greenness’ of a datacentre and model the virtualization and

reduce power consumption, physical and environmental footprint, energy
consumption and costs and can help Solutions Architects look at the
system selection options and analyze their options in detail. Embedded

server consolidation studies and the initial evaluation phase of server
selection.
The Green Grid seeks to provide industry-wide recommendations on best
practices, metrics and technologies that will improve overall data
centre and business computing energy efficiencies. By joining The Green
Grid, IDEAS is helping influence both developers and end users of data
centre technology.
