Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCO), today announced that
it has named Ron Cooper as Chief Executive Officer of CCO-Americas,
effective December 11. He will replace Paul Meyer and report to Mark
Mays, CEO of Clear Channel Outdoor.
“Along with his extensive experience, Ron brings a superior track record
of results in improving operating performance, service quality and
building effective teams,” said Mays. “We are pleased to welcome him to
the company and look forward to seeing his leadership and efforts take
off in the New Year.”
Before joining Clear Channel Outdoor, Cooper was President and COO at
Adelphia Communications Corporation, leading all operational aspects of
a successful turn-around and the eventual sale. Prior to joining
Adelphia, he served as the COO at AT&T Broadband, improving the
operational and financial performance and accessing strategic options
for the cable TV and broadband services subsidiary of AT&T. He also held
senior positions at RELERA Data Centers & Solutions and at MediaOne.

Cooper has served on the boards and committees of trade associations
across the cable, broadband and telecommunications industries. He has
also served on the boards and committees of numerous community and
charitable organizations.
He holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and will be based in Phoenix.
