Passlogix Adds Windows 7 Support to v-GO Single Sign-On; Removes Application Password Burden for Users of Microsoft’s Newest OS

Passlogix®,

Inc., announced today that v-GO™ Single Sign-On (v-GO SSO), its

market-leading enterprise single sign-on solution, now supports

Microsoft Windows 7. v-GO SSO is compatible with both the 32- and 64-bit

versions of Microsoft’s newest operating system.

Passlogix’s rapid support of Windows 7 will allow organizations using

v-GO SSO for password management to migrate to the new OS as soon as

necessary to take advantage of new Windows features that expedite

everyday tasks and increase computing performance. It will also enable

those enterprises as well as new customers using Windows 7 to eliminate

the need for end users to create, remember, input and manage multiple

application passwords.

v-GO SSO is one of the most widely adopted enterprise single sign-on

solutions in the world and the cornerstone of the v-GO

Access Accelerator Suite, an integrated set of solutions for

sign-on, authentication and provisioning enablement. The v-GO suite

helps organizations improve business productivity, strengthen

information security and regulatory compliance readiness, and streamline

identity management deployments.

v-GO SSO allows users to access any Windows, mainframe or Web

application with a single Windows logon by automating username and

password entry for each account. Remote, mobile and temporary users –

including off-site employees and affiliates such as third-party partners

or contractors – can have the same single sign-on advantages with v-GO

On Demand, a companion solution that can be accessed with a click from a

corporate Web page without software installation on end users’ computers.

Other solutions in the v-GO

Access Accelerator Suite automate user sign-on and sign-off of kiosk

sessions; securely manage shared passwords for administrators and others

who must share account IDs; enable strong authentication to

applications, desktops and networks without expensive custom

integration; pre-load user IDs and passwords to the v-GO repository for

easy provisioning; and automate resets of Windows logon passwords.

The solution scales to tens of thousands of users, enables wizard-based

integration that eliminates the need to write scripts or connectors even

to homegrown or legacy applications, and installs on existing servers

without adding dedicated or proprietary hardware. These features lower

the total cost of ownership and allow organizations to receive rapid

payback on their investment.

In addition to Windows 7, v-GO SSO is also compatible with Windows XP

Professional (SP2), Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista Business

Edition.
